The Real Me
3 December, 2004

Nobody knows how I feel inside
As all my emotions I struggle to hide.
If you look deep down into my eyes
You will see where my tortured thoughts lie.

With every breath, the tears will rise,
But I swallow them back, slip into my disguise.
A brace face is what everyone sees
But nobody sees the 'real me'.

I'm hiding inside myself.. Somewhere.
Inside my hollow heart, I'm there,
Waiting for my reality to change,
Waiting to rid myself of this rage.

But from what I see now, this will take time.
Things cannot go from bad to fine.
So in the meantime, I slip on my mask
And say "I'm okay" to anyone who asks.

Life is hard

I understand where you are coming from! People dont take time to know each other truly and its sad. The poem is great, alot of people will be able to relate to this. Good job

First paragraph/stanza or whatever you wanna call it is not true. I may not know what you feel exactly but I have an idea...I'm sorry I have never done anything. I don't know what to do. Help me help you.
