This isn't really a poem, but then I suppose a poem can be anything you want it to be so if you do interoperate this as one, it is what you make it.

I don't know if it's because of the time of year and Christmas is coming, or because I've been to a funeral recently, or because I havn't had enough time or money to visit my 'close' friends who all live 'too far' away from me. Maybe it's because I've just come to a time in my life, however short or long it may last, where I have made some observances about my life, myself and the people around me (even the ones in other countries-Cherie X).

I really feel I need to say thank you to everyone. I'm sorry I couldn't, or haven’t been there as much as I would like to be, and for not appreciating you all as fully as I should have.

There's so much I want to say that words can't.
As a writer I find it infuriating.
As a person I find it saddening.
Words are like wings but can also be a cage.
A straight jacket or an open door for our messages.

Thank you really doesn't sum up what I want to say and how I feel about you all.
