My Baby's Wish...came To Be...

in case you ask
ask me please and you too will see
ask them about this little tree
about the wish of a little girl
whom wanted more
than anything else to keep me
she didn't bother her gifts
too numerous to count
that were all so beautifully wrapped
she didn't bother to see if Santa brought her
her cabbage patch
I believe this little girl
a child so divine
was on a trail of Gods mission
he presented her with a vision
while she was gone
from this life for a short time
it opened up my eyes
as to things that are really important to me
so I can work less hours
I can spend them with my little family
I'm not promised
to have my husband forever by my side
nor will I wake up
to hear the laughter of my children close by
this little tree
may be up way past it's time
like a child staying up late past their bedtime
this little tree meant something to my baby girl
and some how yes I can see for it became special to me

the reason for christmas
isn't in the gifts that you get
the size of the package
nor how much some one spends

it means to appreciate the gifts
you already have
the air that we breath
the heartbeat in our souls

the wonders of appreciating
the life God gave you
even if not everybody agrees
the family you belong to
whether biological or adopted

if my 6 year old can see this
through the eyes
of love then so must I

and most of all I believe in the love
she returned with
and we understood it more
when our tree remained up till Valentines Day

i am so thankful God gave her back
to be a part of our little family..

thank you folks for your double look
and taking the time to read this message
about our Baby's Girl's Tree..
