Another Face

You say I always hurt you,
Btu how do you think I feel?
I'm doing my best to recover
From wounds which just won't heal.

You say you're disappointed,
But can't you really see?
It's me that's really hurting.
Me, not you... Me.

You always turn discussions
Into a tirade about you.
"Oh my life is just so bad"
But if only you knew the truth.

If only you knew how I felt,
Saw all my pent up rage.
Sonn I well let it all out
Like a lion from a cage.

When this hapens I cannot control
What I do or say.
The evil monster that I am
Hides within by day.

If released it will seek out
Retribution and revenge.
And angry words like daggers
From yourself you'll have to fend.

You're just another face, just another human. Why can't people just recognize you for it? Man, this could be a great topic for a soap opera! I truly enjoyed your strong words that you've written in your poem!

Outstanding Mike!
Smiley face,
