Author: J Freedom Long

Are poets different
in some mystical way,
Kindred spirits sharing
poetic thoughts today?

Finding uncommon things
in common for dreamreality.
Dlscovering ice and fire,
like limbs on a poet's tree.

O' how we seem to ever seek
words for life and fantasy,
To meet, converge. and
find.... no differences to see.

------- Author's Notes -------

pondering about poets and poetry and how we seem to have uncommon differences in common?....very different and yet very much alike?

A very interesting poem. I have always thought that poets see things at a deeper level than most...definitely different in a way. Great read.

Jerry, the hands of your poetry touches my soul..

we are all connected to some degree as spirits that fill earths air, we are soulmates as a whole to one of many.. life and love is of the same, same desires same dreams, different paths, yet we all meet at many of those cross roads within our dreams of poetry,
different yes..but still very much the same...uniqueness varies in each molecule but a bit of everyone is seen and felt within our heart burns with love ..does yours???
love your work...

Yes Jerry (JFL)

we can all be critics but it takes a poet to write of love, beauty, sorrow and paint a picture for all to put into words what is in the heart...great your work...thanks for sharing...joyce
