Love Is Guilt
19 December, 2004

vinebar

I feel sadness and betrayal at the things
You didn’t say.
I never said so, it was never my place.
Perhaps it was the surprise of tears on your face
That made me feel guilty.
Guilty of loving you.
Guilty of losing you too.
Guilt of everything, I suppose.
Perhaps I am guilty.
But only of having loved.
