Dear Father

Dear Father,

I hate the way you breathe. Brings thoughts of smothering you. Everyday I wish for the moment you would choke. Then maybe our roles could be reversed. Me watching as you struggle. Remember the day I begged for mercy. I cried so hard my throat ached. Did you care? My back holds your torment in a quantity of scars stretching the span of my spine. I hate everything about you. From your feet to your eyes. I hate every inch of your face. I wish I could erase your every expression. Brings tears when I look in the mirror. I see so much of you reflected back. The day you die will be a celebration. Happy Fathers Day.

Always,
your daughter

dear father

excellent way of letting your feelings relax a bit - i can understand and appreciate your words, as they are a mirror of mine except my scars are internal - i also wrote a poem for my father last memorial day and posted it here. i applaud your bravery in posting - for me it was healing and i hope it was so with you. peace...
