24 Hours
Author: Your Melody

I've smiled all day
laughed and had a good time
I went to practice
only to be shown I wasn't good enough
Music lessons were hell too
the tempo's too slow
my intonation's bad
I left in a daze with tears on my cheeks
Tonight in bed
my thoughts wander back
to a time way back before
when my memories didn't haunt me
My alarm goes off
and I see the days first light
Crying in the midnight shadows seems so far away
But now it's morning
and I've seen that reassuring light

Thanks Joyce, it's one of the things I pride myself on, looking on the bright side, even though my poems don't always show it, I really do. :D
