Good Enough

Everything I do
Everything I see
It doesn’t matter where I go
There will always be

The pain that fills my heart
That never will I be
The one you wanted
The one you could see
The one you could show
To the world with pride
But I’m never good enough
I’m dead on the inside

So now I stand before you
Hoping you could once be
Proud of what I am
It would be the greatest gift to me
But you turn your back
Shake your head
Pretend I’m not there
As if I were dead

All I want to do is disappear
Away from the pain
Of never being
Good enough
