Tattered Wings

And so I spread my scarred arms, my tattered wings.
Turn around so my back faces the fall and the wind forces my hair to thrash across my face.
Tears of crimson and blue fall heavily from my empty eyes.
Looking up at the black heavens above me, I scream out at this life I am about to erase.

"Goodbye! I realize how meaningless this all is!"
"I realize how meaningless I am, how unimportant my life is to everything and all that surround me..."
The wind carries my voice as the rain tries so hard to pound it inot the ground
...Trying to erase the song of what is going to be.

I look back to the egde and forward again to all I am leaving.
This is when only the blue tears fall and I begin to drown.
Taking one step back I let myself fall into the air, into this black canyon of death that I chose.
My tatteres wings don't work...But, I guess I never really expected them to............
