Precious Stone
Author: CD

All that's left here is this precious stone
that holds your loving name.
I come here to be closer to you,
yet nothing feels the same.
I'm confused in understanding this,
I have been since you've died.
Trying to imagine six feet down from here
a box with you inside.
So far from this bitter world,
you're in a better place.
But what I wouldn't give again
to see your loving face.
It hurts for me to imagine
you're not coming back around.
I'm sitting here beside you,
on your sacred ground.
Everything now of you is gone
except your memory.
I feel at peace when I come here,
knowing you're with me.
I miss you
