I'm dying inside,
She's crying inside,
I'm trying to abide,
And she's trying to hide.
I'm trying to cover my awful, fake smile,
She's trying to live, to get by for a while.
I've been stuck under this deep, dark tile,
While she's out in it, she's been the full mile.
I have a good life, I make it seem worse,
She has a hard one, it's something to curse,
Us both trying to love, it's all too hard,
It's like we're prisoners, being chained by a guard.
I can put up with it, I can understand,
We'll do this together, I'm going to hold her hand.
This is how we are, it will never change,
You can all go to hell, if you think we are strange.
