The Battles i Now Face Alone
16 January, 2005

as I battle these emotions
that cry from deep down where it is dark
they cry for the flavor once never lost

the day finally approached
when I had to finally place my feelings
in upon the casket where you sleep
when 3 of my and 3 of your brothers
carried you away
sleep peacefully my love
sleep peacefully

I still see you standing tall and full of life
in reality your hearts a memory that stands so still
a memory no one can ever erase
everybody around
thinks they know what is best for me

but in reality they don't
I can't scream
my voice knows it isn't a dream
there will be many empty days
that will be difficult to fulfill

I just want to run away and hide
and bury my self next to your side

the tears stream further than most
you and I many struggles in our lifes were placed
when illness the first time tried to take you away
you and I battled through it all
and never allowed you to fall

except for this final one
when you accepted your call
to be with the father
whom has promises for an everlasting life
your heart still so full of love
but your body was too tired
and deserved a break

the illness finally made itself the hero
in this battle we faced
as it silently take you away
i witnessed only the last bit of warmth
when i held you close to my heart

I'll love you my darlin'
til the end of my days
