I'm Changing

There’s always going back,
A huge turning point for me,
Changing my whole life,
So I can be who I want to be.

I’m so tired of feeling this way,
Tired of dealing with the facts,
I can’t stand it another day,
So why can’t I just go back?

A year ago I couldn’t have felt better,
I was very happy with myself,
Everything I had accomplished,
And I was in good health.

Now I sit here today looking back,
I never appreciated anything I had,
And now I am realizing it,
Well it just makes me mad.

I know I’m not happy anymore,
I know I can go back to the old me,
So why can I just do it,
Why isn’t this motivating me?

Here and now I’m writing it down,
Telling myself that I must try,
I can accomplish anything,
I can’t let this opportunity pass me by.

Mark my words, “I’m changing,”
Now I’m telling all of you,
I guess I must do it now,
Maybe then I’ll motivate you too.

changes are always good. we always go through changes. just a natural part of life. every time we change we face two paths. seems your choosing the right one. (to you of course)
i like the second to the last stanza. its like the climax of the poam. just now say "doing it NOW" it really sticks out. congrats, you did an overall good poam.
