We came home one night,
You gave us quite a fright.
He had said that you were dead,
Told us that you shot yourself in the head.
I thought about it, and thought a little more,
I began to cry, then I fell to the floor.
Mom told me it was alright, that it'd be okay,
But I screamed and told her that I missed Jay.
The next day, it was awful, I couldn't even smile,
I couldn't stop crying, but it was all worthwhile.
At the funeral, I saw people, people I once knew,
I looked at Shannon and James' faces, and couldn't stand through.
Even to this day, I won't forget your loving face,
I'll keep loving you, no other stepdad can replace.
