Pretense
Author: Charmaine

vinebar

All I ever wanted,
All I ever longed for,
Was for one day to go by,
Where I'm not pretending I'm happy.

I知 tired of the pretense,
Of the act I have to put up,
Of the smiles I have to smile,
Just to show that I知 happy.

I知 breaking down,
I知 losing control,
I知 drained from all the tears,
That I致e shed all this time.

All I ever want,
Is to be happy again,
To be without a single care,
To smile genuinely again
