The Greatest Love Of All

What is the greatest love of all?

It's the ability to let go,
No matter how hurt you are.
Even if you miss the person so,
And ache with longing for them.

All you ever want is for them to be happy,
Even if it means that you have to pretend you are.
It takes a long long time to be able to let go,
It’s an art you have to master and it’s not an easy feat.

But day by day, I’m learning to deal with my pain,
And in time to pass, I hope that I’ll be able to let go.
So until I’ve mastered the art of letting go,
Then can I honestly say that my love for you is true.
