Sleepless Nights
5 February, 2005
Author: Jackie C

I cower at the thought of you
I lay down and sleep
To escape the thought of us two
Then I wake up remembering the hurt
I felt from your scorn
My stomach turns
At the thought of you
I hate feeling
Like I have no clue
You have no idea what you do
I guess you haven't a clue either
Sitting hiding yet somewhat waiting
For my nightmares to come true
The nightmares
Or perhaps what you would call memories
I simply dread them
No matter how you say it
Some times it hardly seems real
How in the world did we get this far
And forgot how to feel
I mean hell we swear it was love at first sight
Up until out fight
How do I keep these nightmares in my mind
I have no reason to this crime
Even after all this time
