Undead Army -revised

Cold lifeless hands scratch at the wood,
They want to break out, if only they could.
They stare at the darkness with unseeing eyes,
Doing their utmost best to live, to rise.

If only they'd stayed dead, these friends of Death,
Stayed in the place they never should've left.
Burning for eternity in the pits of Hell
Never waking from the places they fell.

A cracking, a breaking and then they are free,
The nightmare we all thought culd never be.
A slow shuffling walk, a grisly smile,
The smell in the air to breathe in too vile.

Maggots and worms, all manner of bugs
Dripping behind them, a fleshcrawling rug.
Watching all this with a grin on his face,
A dark red figure enjoying the race.

Now all of mankind shall surely be doomed,
From the black the hour of death looms.
Raping and killing, his army will come
And with red water, Earth's rivers will run.
