The Reason For Your Tears

I'm sitting with my head down watching blood and tears hit the floor
I look at my bleeding, wounded wrist and begin to cut some more
I can't stand the pain and I see the cut is deep
Maybe this is enought to eternally put me to sleep
I can see my mother standing over me, screaming out my name
My father's face covered in shock thinking he's the one to blame
Now, he is on the phone, crying out for help
Explaining to the operator that I had done this to myself
The doctors are trying hard, but yet they seem to fail
They continue going at it until my face goes white and pale

They eventually walk away,
walk out the room, and to my parents they say,

"I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, that your daughter is now gone
Please don't cry, please try o be strong
Her body is peacefully resting and she's got a grin upon her face
Every dimple, lash and curl perfectly in place
Don't stand over her body and cry-go home-be calm instead
Salty tears nor wet cheeks can bring her back for she is now dead"

I'm glad I am now free, from all these harms and fears
My only regret is being the reason for your tears.
