Have A Long Way To Go

Yes, I'm walking, and I'm talking, and I'm seeing, for the first time
Everything, I ran from, talked about, but never had, now I see everything
Coming up, behind me, as I try to sleep, and get you, out of my mind
I see, I feel, I hear your cries, all those nights alone, just you and me

I see the road ahead, some paved, some rocky roads, to far to go
From where, I lost myself, so far behind every word from my heart
I have, a long way to go, before I see you again, this is a rocky road
Cry with a stranger, I will be your partner, in love, we have a long way to go

See, the moon above, I remember, as this old truck, hugs the road
See, the Sun, as the world says, wake up, life and love are not free
I open up the door and throw, my Big Mac wrappers in the trash can
I turn the key, & hope, it will take me far away, to be free
