Concrete Raindrops

Gaze threw the window
my heart like the raindrops that fell
upon the ground
to silent for anyone to hear
the braking sound
when I reach the concrete
I pray that it's you I meet
as the puddle that catches me
I pray for destiny to be the wind
that guides me into your loving arms again
your promises have fallen threw our love like quick sand
I'm left in the perfect remorse
My lungs have given up on me,its true.
I'm gasping for my breath, which I can only get from you
I stain my eyes
with another dreadful cry
Bury my feelings along with my dignity
upon my cemetery
as your forgotten raindrop
I'll wait for you patiently
against the concrete
for you to come back to me

Mallisa, concrete words so true.as were the tears

this was a very heart tugging read...brought back many heartfelt memories for me...no... not one of them sad...just ....love clinging to my heart...of the one and only man i ever loved...and continue to love today...thank you for these words...so soft and warm....Terrie*
