Accident April 6th

This is a true story of a teenage girl's spring break
Little did she know that her life would be at stake
She had just gone prom dress shopping and was about to go to work
But she had to go get gas and take her sisters first

They had all jumped in the car, as the sun's hot rays began to melt
The girl turned to her sisters..."Make sure you put on your seatbelt"
She was listening to Destiny's Child, singing "Say My Name"
When someone began coming towards her, driving in her lane!

There was nothing she could do, it was too late, they had crashed
All the glass was broken and the whole car was smashed
She looked over at her sisters, their bodies motionless with fear
Realizing they were still alive, she said "We need to get out of here"

One climbed out the window, then she crawled out the door
She went and got her other sister, vowing not to drive anymore
People stopped to help them, "I'm fine" to them she lied
Soon a woman ran up..."My babies!" her mom cried

They were put into an ambulance, the hospital wasn't very far
Eventually they got there and were rushed to the ER
One sister broke her arm, another broke her leg
But the Lord decided that their lives He would not take

The girl layed on the bed, as down her cheek slid a tear
She was so scared and thought to herself "I don't want to be here"
They were in the hospital for four days, but never left alone
When April 9th rolled around they couldn't wait to go home

The purpose of this story is to show you how short life is
The only problem with that is most people don't realize this
So don't take things for granted, and love people with your heart
Don't say things out of anger...now you're off to a good start

Look at the stars at night, find beauty in the morning sun
Live each day to its fullest, because tomorrow may never come

Take heed

This is such a wonderful piece. The part that touched me the most was to live life to the fullest because tomorrow may never come. I just lost my brother about 10 months ago and when he died we were not speaking so I never got to say goodbye and I still feel so horrible. People should take heed on this advice that I give: gather your family to you and keep them close, tell them everday how much you love them because you may never get the chance again. Anything can happen at any time.

This reminds me of the lost of a school student we had on November 30,2002 . We lost her over ThanksGiving Break in a tradgict Crane Accident . She was a good student who played every sport possible. She never go to turn 13 for she was born march 14 , 1990 . We miss her dearly and we have a tree planted outside our school in remembrance of her . We all miss her and love her and we will see her again .
