Never Say Word

I see your face in the hall
and I wonder why i care at all
Never a touch, never a sound
Never say a word...

I go home at night wondering what it's all about
Stare at the walls
Stare into the darkness
But I never say a word...

I can't sleep, can't figure out what's wrong
I wonder if life is worth going on
Ridiculed and mocked for the things I do
Hated for loving you

But I never say a word...

"Life goes on"
I tell myself
I need me and no one else

Alone I feel all the time
Sifting through ashes that don't seem to be mine
Learning quick to love to hate
I make it mine
and I never say a word...

Shoving all these feeling to the back of my head
Trying not to remember anything you said
about life and love and how we'd be
How all you wanted was me

Now all I have is nothing
That's what you come into this world with
and that's how you'll leave

With a dying smile on my face

but i'll never say a word
