I Need You So

"You look completly miserable when i look into her eyes"
I quietly replied, "Don't worry i'm alright"
We go our seperate ways pretending nothing's wrong
As deep inside myself I play this lamenting song.

"We'll be friends forever" as he wraps his arms around my waist
"Nothing can keep us apart"

I quietly whisper
"That's good becuase you have my heart"

I awoke one day to find you were not there
I sat alone outside and just stared

I waited for your car as the last one rolled right by
I stop upon the step, stared down the road and almost cried

I hung my head down low and softly went to my room
Took the knife out from my pillow

i couldn't see it spelt doom
I saw you kiss her, hold her, tell her you loved her and forgot that i was there
I saw the way you stared into her eyes like me...it isn't fair

You walk right by
you never wave
and look at me with disappointing eyes

Was i a mistake?
Should we just say our last goodbyes?

I need you and you need me
that's the way it's always been
I want to get through my day without wanting you again

A hopeless feeling as time passes home again i go
Just to wake to another day and find i need you so.

Shira..

I could really feel the emotions conveyed in the poem. I know how it feels and reading it penned down in words really just hits home. Great poem.
