My Great Sunday Escape
14 April, 2005

I never wanted my Sunday to end
I escaped with a friend
to the blue waters of the lake
I felt my soul open up and become so free

my passion for life was all I packed
he stole my heart
with this sweet surprise
when he made plans
to take me away from my problems
and sail away in a boat

he captured my soul
when we stayed over night
to see an orange sunset and a sunrise

watching the sun go down

made it such an enchanting evening
that brought back so many sweet lovely memories

the sunrise meant a lot to me too
being spring
I didn't want to leave
as we were being serenaded
by many feathered friends perched on nearby trees
but i knew that it was time for us to leave
as i had a life waiting for me at home..
but...
this was a great escape for me..
