Enjoy My Funeral

There's only one thing I want you to do.
And that's to be happy that I'm gone.
My life was a quiet tragedy.
The only fear I had left in the end, was that of carrying on.

The air around me was violent.
But now I can finally breathe.
At least now you know how I really felt.
At least you're not being deceived.

I guess this is like a dream to you.
Then we'll have something in common you see.
That was the problem all through my life.
Never could separate truth from reality.

Don't think about the pain I've put myself through.
But the pain I've freed myself from.
Any cries of pain were drowned out with music.
I put my favourite CD on.

I could see the end draw near.
It was the only thing that was clear.
And with the fading life in me, I write.
At least I'll sleep well tonight.

And forever.
