Moon Nightlight

Like the breeze
against my window
the words spread
and they echo
I'm told the hidden secrets of the world
as its self destruction
begins to unfold
un-pure is my soul
marinated in the the worlds unholy soil
I'm the loving leaf
the loving leaf
that floats against the grassy cemetery
Lost from the sacred tree
that was once a home to me
Like its braches in the winter
My heart quietly quivers.
Desperately threw the dark night
I use the moon as my only nightlight
The stars they guide me
Into the heavenly arms that await
Shall not they close,
For I'm too scared to be left alone
I pray that god is still waiting to hold me closely
But in fear that I am inferior
To the one uncertain possible being that may
lay above me,
scared because I may remain upon the concrete
broken dreams as the puddles that give me company
is it best to be hopeful and let my heart shatter in disappointment
or hide in my shell, in the disbelief that may some day devour me?
For I know I'm flawed piece by piece
they say that all must have a little good wiithin,
but deep down we're just near to being completely flawed
from beneath our skin
