What happened to the days when catching frogs was enough?
You've grown so quickly, you're beautiful, but you act so very tough.

I hate to think these things about you, you're my sister forever. But,
in a lifetime, how many heart strings can one person damn near sever?

I know your heart is kind, and I know your soul is is truly good.
You'll never be taken for granted, but I don't understand, you're so misunderstood.

As dysfunctional as families come, there's always unconditional love underneath.
when you say the things you say, even if they are not meant, I have to grit my teeth.

I've been where you are, believe it or not, and not too long ago.
It took me a long time to see clearly, to know my wrongs, and to grow.

If you'd listen to me, I'd share with you my advice, but you won't hear me.
I don't want to change you, because I can't, it's in your hands, for yourself you'll have to see.

Look through the dark Aimee, push it all away. It's easier said than done, but tomorrows another day.

I know that life can be cruel and at times extremely hard, but your family loves you so much, and you've been dealt a difficult card.

I wish you'd let us in on your hand, so that we could help you make smart choices.
But these people that you hang out with, are nothing to me but toxic, misleading, and very destructive voices.

Aimee. Life is short, I'm learning. It's what you do now that matters a lot, I'm going to forget about the times we've screamed, and belittled each other, and fought.

I have forgiveness in my heart, because in my past, forgiveness is what I've wanted.
I've been granted what I've needed and by my past, I'm now less haunted.

Aimee this love hurts so much. It's riddled with anger and guilt and fear, but I'm going to promise myself, that this small drop of liquid, will be my last "hurt and intimidated by you" tear.

I love you.
