Hello Stranger

Hello stranger, who are you?
Why do you stare at me the way you do?
What is it you want from me?
You've taken my soul, what else could there be?

My heart has almost stopped beating,
the rythm never to be repeated.
My ears have almost stopped hearing,
While the pain inside is eternally searing.

My mouth has all but quietened down,
My face contorted in a hateful frown.
My eyes are blind, they see nothign at all.
I can no longer rise from the places I fall.

So hello, stranger, what do you want?
Everything I had is everything you got.
Hello stranger, why don't you pass?
Why do you stare at me from the looking glass?

Oh wow, the last line is so effective. After I read it, I read the whole poem again, just to take it in. Awesome.

A 'looking glass' is a mirror, Raimee..
