I gave my love, I gave my heart,
I gave myself,
How was I to know?
The love was to be misused,
The heart would be crushed,
Myself would not learn
I see good in everything,
I trust in everyone
Only to leave my defences down,
Only to heal another heartbreak,
Only to start over,
Will it ever end?
Will I find that love?
Was she made for me?
The last time, I stopped loving,
I stopped feeling,
I did not like me,
It was not me; Please be me,
Feel again; Love another,
Be true take another chance

great writing...not every love is the same, not every love should be compared...you will love again and that love will return to you threefold....keep your heart & mind open do not keep yourself hidden for the possibility and opportunity of love...and to love again...Terrie*
