The coffee, is on, it smells so good, Wish I had someone
To share a cup with me, someone who, would smile, back at me
Someone, who was here, you know, just to talk to, and hear, a voice
Someone who was not a dream, and said, do have any cream?

A little sugar, would be nice, I like my coffee with cream and sweet
Just, someone, to talk to me, someone who is real, as I fry the bacon
May I have my eggs, sunny-side up? and I love the smell of your bacon
The whole place is so warm and full of love, again, this is, just a dream

I sit down to breakfast with my dream, share the morninig sunshine, alone
Hear the birds, singing their songs, flying here and there, ready for the world
So, strong, yet, so delicate, they survive each day, why, can't I?
No storm or anything has destroyed them, why do I have breakfast alone?

Guess, it is my dream, you are always there with me, my heart is the only one
That sees you at the breakfast table sharing bacon, eggs, hot coffee, with me
Still, it works for me, I know someday, I will hear you say, have you any, cream
A little sugar, would be nice, I like my coffee hot, with cream and sweet!
