she told me
he's shared so many promises
he's shared so many dreams
not one of them have come true

I told her
mine has shared the same with me
and like you
none of mine came true
but, I added
I have faith that they will

she told me
I left a world I was comfortable in
like a fool i fell in love
and believed every word
he sweetened up

I told her
I did the same
I know how you feel
but just think
if you hadn't fallen in love with him
how miserable and alone
you would have been
at least now
you know your heart has hope
because i know mine does

she told me
my friends ask me
how many more ladies
were taken by his powerful words
what kind of a fool
did he make of you today?

I told her
my friends share the same
and this much I know
his words will come through
because God is my strength
to believe in him
my heart is a lot like yours
just a woman
whom wants to feel loved and be loved

she told me
I am so glad
I had this talk with you
now I am beginnin'
to understand and have faith in my man
after talkin' to you

I told her
yea I am glad too
cause now I am beginnin'
to understand the faith i keep alive in my heart
after listenin' to you

------- Author's Notes -------

sometimes we all share similarities in life, yet it is when we open our hearts to really listen, do we hear, what love and human kindness is all about
