I Am A Demon by Holly

All my flaws,
I must adore,
For without them I'd be nothing.

Behind these blue eyes,
Are lumps of coal.
Where my heart should be,
There's just a hole.

Inside me there's a fire,
This flame, it burns.
I'm the one who ruins everything,
The one that never learns.

Temptation is what drives me on,
Keeps me smiling, with my blood red lips.
That always seem to say the wrong words,
Have you ever felt as Demonic as this?

I'm the one you forgot,
And I'm waiting for my time.
Been rotting here for far too long,
It's too late for this heart of mine.

Try being in my head;
Jealousy, paranoia and fear.
Try borrowing my ears;
Words full hate are all I hear.
Try seeing through my eyes;
That ugliness could kill.
Try tasting what I taste;
The bitterness of this pill.

"The Devil made me do it"
I never made anyone do anything.
You've got your own tiny little lives.
I'm just ruining mine.

WOW holly, i just read all your poems and loved everyone of them.your an amazing writer and you really made me feel your pain - in some of dem i cryed.you have an amazing talent. you put what i feel into words so well. im speechless on what to say to you but that i reallyreallyreallyreally love your poems and hope and cnt wait to read more..... thanx for sharing

Hey Holly,
This is so revealing I think...the emotions that you feel and the pain that surrounds you. The sixth stanza in particular. It is very effective, as is the whole poem. You ARE a wonderful writer! Please keep writing and posting as your work is so addictive to read!
