I Fell Asleep Wrapped In Gods Arms Last Night by Terrie*

i fell asleep
in Gods arms last night
so many nights of restlessness
of tossin' and turnin'
didn't know where my life started
nor where it ended
i opened up my home for others to feed
but really
i did it more to feed me
it was not food i hungered for
i was hungry and thirsty
for words of Our Lord
i had a deep need
to feel Gods presence in my life
whenever i felt all alone
he was the only one that fullfilled me
i cain recall
all the times
when i thought
i stood all alone
when really
it was my heart i allowed and made to become alone
so much love all around
never looked deep to accept or allow to feel
but i learned i was never left alone
and i caint leave another alone with out carryin' them half way through
so much that i never asked or reflected from
but yet he was the one
whom opened his heart for me to see
that his heart still held and fulfilled me
i felt the warmth
and softness of his breath
while i lay there thinkin'
all this time i had no one to hold
he was always there
still workin' on bringin' someone special to me
i remember this feelin' every night
when i felt warm arms gently wrap themselves around me
before my soul fell asleep
my heart took a peek
and saw God holding me

You must've had a real good night sleep then; I know I would. When God protects you and sends His angels to guard your bedroom at night you can sleep like that slogan for the Ford truck commercial "LIKE A ROCK"! Very good wording Terrie!

The road is long, but we never walk alone!
Yes,the road is hard, full of sharp rocks, and rain, should we fall, down upon our knees, and we bleed, fingers, trying to save us, as fall, a loving heart, knows, we never fall, upon pain
We only fall, upon ourselves, as we reach for God
He saves us all, yet, we must all fall, then it is
Up to us to say his name, God, I love you, before we fall. Love this heart, as it speaks to me.
