I Hold Your Heart

In my hands I hold your heart
wiping the pain away.
I gently caress it with love
here with me it will stay.

This heart has been touched with
such sadness, it's scared
to love again.
But here with me it will grow,
as I hold it in my hands.

I kiss your heart each night
keeping it safe from harm.
And if you decide you want
it back... it will be
waiting in my arms.

------- Author's Notes -------

Sometimes it's truly hard to trust another with our heart, after it has been hurt so many times before, but we always have to take that chance, and let love lead us, even after the heart breaks.

So many of us have been left heartbroken, and so it scares us to give love another shot, it scares us to trust someone new or even the one that has broken our heart, but I think we have to take a chance at love, and be willing to trust again..." It's better to love, then to of never loved at all" Glad you enjoyed the poem!!
