Lingering longer
to savor your
scent ... hoping
to capture the
essence of you
all in one breath ...
praying you will
still be real
when I open
my eyes ... hoping
I am remembered ...
praying I will not
be left behind
in this semi-conscious
suspended state
of unexplicable awe ...
hungry for a taste
of you ... starving
for your kiss ...
lost in your embrace
