Wandering Angel

Since the dawn of time he’s wandered,
A vagabond upon the Earth.
With no memory of what he was,
Or his glorious place of birth.

Still unaware of his purpose,
He cannot help but wonder why;
Why generations come and go,
While he is unable to die.

He’s tried to lead a normal life,
Even let himself fall in love.
Then he watched her grow old and die,
Her spirit claimed by God above.

And in every generation,
There are people who touch his soul.
He’s had to bury every one,
A curse that has taken its toll.

At times he’s been a champion,
Saving many innocent lives.
Doing battle with the darkness,
On and on this warrior strives.

But the truth won’t be discovered
Until the end of the age nears.
He’ll know his true identity,
When the Son Of Man reappears.

Until then the angel wanders,
Through endless corridors of time.
Many oceans still must be crossed,
With many mountains left to climb.

He has been cast out of Heaven,
For opposing man’s divine birth.
Now cursed to love and to lose them,
With every step upon this earth.

A champion of innocence,
Was the title he selected.
An endless life of sacrifice,
Was the course that was elected.

And if he should be successful,
In learning the value of men,
If the Lord proclaims him worthy,
Perhaps he’ll earn his wings again.

Is it Satan?

He's the only one I know who was cast out of heaven. They say he was a singer, a musician (he played the harp, and God's friend at one point until his conceited ways got the best of him...
I tell ya Mr. Spencer, you're awesome! Another divine self-composed creation!

This could be a movie!

I could see this made into a movie or a TV series!

One third of the Heavenly Host was cast out.

Actually Meridian, one third of the Heavenly Host was cast out. Or wandering Angel is just one of many.
