A Tear Full Of Memories

A tear is all that is left of what we once had
Slowly building, ultimately creating emotions beyond sad
For a moment I could say that we had it all,
Now 3 seconds later all memories begin to fall...

Flashes of time spent, moments, all flow from my mind
Only a picture of your face is what I leave behind
I can't bare to erase you completely from my life
Yet I know the only way to move on, is if somehow I try...

Closer and closer it draws nearer to the ground
My heart drops, slows and soon ceases to pound
I now begin to realize what my life is without you
Hollow, empty, seemingly unbareable now too...

I close my eyes as it reaches the ground
Hoping, listening, but there's no sound
As quick as it began, it faded just as fast
Our years together are gone at last...

The hardest thing to do is let go. It's never easy to do, but after time you will realize it's for the best
