Life's Dream

For years I've been a fool to hide from the truth
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you
Your face somehow stays with me everywhere I go,
Bringing me tears, joy, but most recently woes...

I've yet again fallen for the oldest trick in the book
Leading me to believe we could be more than a distant look
How could I allow myself to be fooled again?
I still havn't forgotten our first emotional pain...

Images of what we could have been I now consider illusions
Merely creating false hope and temporary confusion
My feelings for you are now a thing of the past
I can't allow myself to be hurt similar to the last...

I wish there was a way words could describe how I feel
So you could see the pain caused that is now all too real
I wish I could wake up from this nightmare it seems
Maybe someday I will and create my own dreams...

One more to add to the long list of emotional woes..

Brettio! Hey my friend from so far away! You probably knew I was gonna come up here, didn't ya? I hope 2006 will be the year you release those emotional woes that seem to overwhelm you and conquer you. There's probably joy deep down on the inside of you waiting to break lose.
Superb poem my good fellow! Write more soon! LOL!

Time

Time plays a role in this game we play,
Time lends its hands in both ways,
One time love is all new and time ticks faster than before,
Then theres time that slows right down,
The time to heal when a hearts been played.

Like your writings (guess I'm a fan)
