Not Enough, Wake Me Up
11 February, 2007

It's weighting in on my emotion
Knowin you'll never see me growing
The commotion is slowing
It's showing from head to toe
I just don't know
If I can make it on my own
But I persist
I never knew a pain like this could exist
I reminisce, saying your name
And give the cross a kiss
You are forever missed
Above the mist is my beloved
Everything in life
I'd give it up to feel your touch
It's so surreal, this can't be real,
Please wake me up
Because a dream's just not enough

dreams are never enough

the title of this poem reminds me of the evenescence song... but the poem was great. and shan, dreams are never enough. if they were, we wouldnt wake.

i agree, the piece of being awake that is good enough is actually having your dreams come true. falling in love, getting married, having kids ect. after all, There will be two dates on your tombstone. Everyone will read them. But what matters is the DASH between them.
