Thoughts Re-written

It's been too long since I've written my thoughts
But they're too hard to contain, despite how I've fought
Slowly building, gradually breaking me inside
Friends don't know, to lovers I lie

To whom then can I speak my mind?
If the one person I need seems impossible to find
I cant help but wonder how long this will last
Will these emotions ever be just a thing of the past?

It is now to a point where I have mixed emotions
Do I scream? Do I fall? Do I cry tears like oceans?
Alone and unheard of, are the thoughts in my mind
Will anyone listen? Would you please be so kind?

As strong as I may be, everyone needs a hand
So I'm asking you now, can you listen? will you understand?

------- Author's Notes -------

It's been a while since I've written my thoughts into poetic form. So I just needed to get some stuff out.

The next one will be better, I'm still a bit rusty..lol

you're never rusty

Straightforward, direct poem! Know what you're talking about poet!

What? Rusty? Brett, there's no rust here. I see shine. It's just like you've finished polishing your pen. Hope we can collaborate this year if we find the time to do so. I forgot your address...

Brill poem B!
