This Is My Time

Have you ever felt, like the world was moving too fast?
Have you ever just wanted to slow down?
Moments come and go, but they don’t ever last
You feel like you’ve been run into the ground
When your world has turned upside down on you
How do you go about turning it the other way?
And when you’re doing your best just to move on,
How do you forget about yesterday?
If it means leaving you behind, I don’t mind.

Because there’s bigger and better,
And I’ve got to get there
Somewhere there’s wonderful and magical
And I just can’t seem to find it here
I’m stuck in this thing called life.
And I think, I know, this is my time.

All these people running around through life
And here I am just standing still.
They took the things that once were mine
And I don’t know how to pull myself uphill
They dance around like it don’t mean a thing
It doesn’t matter to them but it sure is killing me
I don’t need to feel this way right now
I just need to turn myself around
And if it means leaving you behind, I don’t mind.

Because there’s bigger and better,
And I’ve got to get there
Somewhere there’s wonderful and magical
And I just can’t seem to find it here
I’m stuck in this thing called life.
And I think, I know, this is my time.

Someday I’m gonna get to where I’m going
I’ll look back on this and think of where I’ve been
I’ll laugh about the fact that I cried
But for now I’m just along for the ride

But there’s bigger and better,
And I’ve got to get there
Somewhere there’s wonderful and magical
And I just can’t seem to find it here
I’m stuck in this thing called life.
And I think, I know, this is my time.
