This Is My Time
Author: Emilee

Have you ever felt, like the world was moving too fast?
Have you ever just wanted to slow down?
Moments come and go, but they donít ever last
You feel like youíve been run into the ground
When your world has turned upside down on you
How do you go about turning it the other way?
And when youíre doing your best just to move on,
How do you forget about yesterday?
If it means leaving you behind, I donít mind.

Because thereís bigger and better,
And Iíve got to get there
Somewhere thereís wonderful and magical
And I just canít seem to find it here
Iím stuck in this thing called life.
And I think, I know, this is my time.

All these people running around through life
And here I am just standing still.
They took the things that once were mine
And I donít know how to pull myself uphill
They dance around like it donít mean a thing
It doesnít matter to them but it sure is killing me
I donít need to feel this way right now
I just need to turn myself around
And if it means leaving you behind, I donít mind.

Because thereís bigger and better,
And Iíve got to get there
Somewhere thereís wonderful and magical
And I just canít seem to find it here
Iím stuck in this thing called life.
And I think, I know, this is my time.

Someday Iím gonna get to where Iím going
Iíll look back on this and think of where Iíve been
Iíll laugh about the fact that I cried
But for now Iím just along for the ride

But thereís bigger and better,
And Iíve got to get there
Somewhere thereís wonderful and magical
And I just canít seem to find it here
Iím stuck in this thing called life.
And I think, I know, this is my time.
