Karma For Montt Is Still Waiting

The President of Guatemala and still a big hero today
But his army killed thousands of innocents and for his crimes he has yet to pay
Responsible for the deaths of men and women and children his men little mercy did show
And they raped and disembowelled pregnant women quite close to two decades ago.

To the Mayan Indians of Guatemala Rios Montt's is a much loathed name
His atrocities against their people on their Land cast shadows of shame
His soldiers torched their mountain villages leaving them with no place to hide
Their families butchered like cattle in mass graves buried where they died.

They murdered brave Bishop Geridas the champion of the poor and downtrod
His crime was to stand by the oppressed this honourable person of god
He was a threat to Efrain Rios Montt and he wanted him out of the way
Perhaps the world's worst serial killer who lives as a free
man today.

To be rewarded for murdering civilians is something that I don't understand
May god have pity on Guatemala it is a god forsaken Land
But karma for Montt is still waiting and karma much mercy won't show
To him for his crimes against people still less than two decades ago.

He holds the top job in his Country but the good times for him will not last
His cowardly soldiers rapists and murderers and he has such a shameful past
The families of his many victims of him only have bad to say
And karma for Montt is still waiting and to karma the price he will pay.
