Not Enough

My love was not enough
I was too devoted to
your happiness
Do not forget I did not
forget about my own
You kept trying me
My sincerity was
what made our house
a home
My joy came from my soul

I used to think it
was all in my mind
Please know I never
felt useless or was
wasting my time
My love was not enough
when times were tough
through the fuss and fight
My life has been like
a roller coaster ride
Like the rolling tide
But, evidently my love
was not enough to keep
you by my side
