Alcohol Induced Confusion
9 December, 2007

Your mind was swimming in a liter of spirits
while I was being responsible and trying to deal with it
I drove you home and helped you up the staircase
You could not keep your eyes open and there was a blank
expression on your face
I watched you
as you sat on the edge
of the bed with
your hand on your head
as if you were not able to
remember
it was the fifteenth of December,
the day of our anniversary
and you forgot about me
