Moon Faerie

I turn on
the light
to the moon

Every ninty
minutes
I pass over
above you
while your eyes
flicker in the
flame of the
candle
I made
for you

Are you alright tonight?

Do you remember I love
you bigger than the
world could ever be?

You will sleep in your dreams
As I ride metal-runners sleds
down the northern light beams,
down the snowy mountain, all the way
the stars I am counting
should account for something
I have wings
so I turn the
moonlight on
