To You

Sitting in the corner
with tears in my eyes
I can hear you
saying my name but
I don't remember
who you are to
me

Your voice is not
familiar to me
I dare not turn around
because I don't
want to see your
self-destruction
A superficial malfunction
an approval addiction
a deduction

I gave you love
when no one else
would
I gave you love
when you didn't
think I could
I gave you love
because I know
I should
