5 Variations On The Love Cycle

First Glance:

First glance at her and my heart starts to beat.
This spontaneous moment always turns up the heat
as my feelings right now are not discreet
for a woman somehow I just have to meet!

Getting the Nerve:

The onus is on the man to ask
so he must be bold and navigate that task
but wait not yet I need more time
when raising the volume of this mime!

First Encounter:

Well my friend this is it!
I'll saunter right over like Brad Pitt!
Deep down inside I'm having a fit
but she sees my calm and inimitable wit!

First Date:

Everything was speeded up and we couldn't wait.
A bundle of triplets sealed my fate
as inlaws meddle but it's not too late
to say hold on Bro it's still our first date!

Moving On:

I want my cake and eat it too
in this wake-up call for me and you.
Didn't think this madness would make me blue
but falling out of love is the only thing to do!

What is this thing called love??

Such an honest account of the dance of love from a male perspective. Excellent Colin. I'm certain many a man could not have expressed a man's point of view any better than you did in this poem.
