Women, Dogs And One Noun: Poems 1 To 5

In a parallel universe you will find
a herstory lesson of a gentler kind
based on common sense and a sharper mind
leaving all that testosterone far behind!

--

Simmering in a cauldron of mystery stew
the naive young actress did not have a clue
the witches from Macbeth were promoting their brew
and this talk show was a facade for the chosen few!

--

This frontier town is not for her
so the bags are packed and she did concur
this train is bound for down the track.
My sweetheart is never coming back!

--

With this ominous trip down the hall
their fate awaits and cannot stall
a closed door leading to the end of the line.
Shelter dogs ignore the welcome sign!

--

An ally, a mentor and embellishment too
the adjective will always see you through
with a stock of words in which you're glad
and the best friend the noun ever had!
